Baby Lecia's full month

We attended Aunty Stephie's second child, Baby Lecia's full month today. We met Aunty Jeanelle + Faith, Aunty Ginette + Maishia and Aunty Cynthia + Cherelle, all the Daddy are present too. Asher sure looked like a big Gorgor now.

Right brain - Term 1 Lesson 1 + Pizza

Today is Kelly's first lesson for Right Brain training. There were supposed to be 4 toddlers per class but in the end only Shawn n Kelly turned up. 2 kids to start with is good, the concentration is there and there is also more space for the mummies to move around.

Teacher did quite a lot of activities during the 1hour class including flash card for linked memory, princess cardboards for ribbons counting, white rabbit with furry ears for sensory, japanese song based on farm animals, red and blue strawberry for parent and child telepathy, etc. Kelly enjoyed the most during song singing session, she will dance and sway along with the music. We look forward to the next few class and see how Kelly progress.

After class, we had lunch at Pizza Hut. We ordered the latest Starzbites cheesy extreme pizza. Kelly and Daddy love it extremely.

Vivo City

Early in the morning, we all got ready to leave home for Vivo City to meet Uncle YS, Aunty Cynthia and Ryan for breakfast. We all wondered why we come all the way to Vivo City for Burger King when Compasspoint also have one.

The reason is because there is a new Sanrio shop opened here and Auntie Cynthia being a super Hello Kitty fan wants to visit the store and make some contribution to the Sanrio enterprise. We each got a T-shirt for the kids. Along with its opening, they are giving away a Hello Kitty termo water bottle and a Hawaii key charm. We head off to Colette to look for a nice pair of shoe for Kelly. After trying out about half the designs available in the shop, we finally decided on a dandy white shoe with pink butterflies. Ryan got a pair of shoe too.

We spent some lazy time at Pacific Coffee having Latte and Kelly had ice blended chocolate before we proceed to Uncle Frankie's place for Bak Kut Teh...deliciousssss!

Shekinah Montessori - Term 1 Lesson 2 & Ikea

The lesson starts with a Good Morning song and the singing cum dancing session continued for the next 30mins. Kelly can now dance and move about better with the music. She knows when to clap her hand, stamp her feet and turn around.

The next half of the lesson, Kelly works on sensory kit. The objective is to remove the different sizes of wooden cylinder from the tray and to replace them in the correct sizes. Montessori kits are all self-correct kit where children will know that they had placed in the wrong hole when the size don't fit.

It is a must that kids put back their toys after they finished. Good practise!

After class, we head off to Ikea for yummy yummy chicken wings and swedish meatballs.

Activities filled day

Daddy says we can start our routine of swimming again, yipee!! Off we go to Sentosa!! We had breakfast at McDonald before proceeding so as to avoid the morning rush. We reached Sentosa at 10am and Kelly starts her warming up in the childrens' playroom while Daddy inflate Froggy.

Maybe it's been too long since our last dip in the pool, Kelly clinched on to us while in the childrens' pool. After a while, Mummy thought that she might be too cold since the upper body is exposed to the wind so we moved over to the Jacuzzi pool. Kelly seems to take the bubble better and started to play but still refuse to sit in her Froggy.

At shower time, Mummy trimmed Kelly' hair for the first time. Now her hair is so much neater.

Shekinah Montessori - Term 1 Lesson 1

After 14months of being SAHK - Stay At Home Kid, Mummy decided that it is time for Kelly to start playing with kids of her age group so that she will know what sharing is. We concluded that a centre near our place will be good, that will also give us no excuse to miss class.

After scouting around, we decided on Sekinah Montessori due to the nice, clean and cozy airconditioned classroom that they have. We like the idea of sanitizing all hands before entering the classroom to keep cleanliess to the maximum. While talking to the Principal on the courses available, we found out that the Parent-Toddler course starts with 18mths old and the youngest they will accept is 16mths. After much persuasion and assessment by the Principal, Kelly is accepted!!!

We arrived 15mins earlier to complete the registeration and Teacher Liana will be with us for the whole Term. The class starts with singing and dancing for the first 30mins and the last 30mins, the kids are allowed to work with any practical or sensory kits they want from the shelf. Kelly is the most active kid in her class, she goes around waving hi, smiling, dancing till we have difficulty getting her to settle down.
