Mothers' Day lunch with Godma

We had an early Mothers' Day lunch with my Godma today as she will be flying off tomorrow again. On average, she travels more on the plane than on the road. It is relatively difficult to meet her, especially together with Godpa due to his busy schedule. Godpa wasn't able to join us for lunch as he has meeting after meeting for the whole day.

Since Godpa is not around, it is a good time for us to venture out of Chinese food. We had Japanese buffet at Kushino Bo located on the Japanese Street in Jurong Point. The selection is good, ambience is fine and food is yummy too.

Since Kelly just started going to school alone on Wednesday, we decided not to bring her along so as to keep the routine in place.

After lunch, we sent Godma back to her office and so coincidentally, Godpa just came back from his meeting and we managed to grab him in between meetings for a photo session.

Mummy last day in school

Today is the third day and last that Mummy accompanied Kelly to school. She has to learn to go to school alone somehow. Since this Sunday is Mothers' Day, the craftwork for today was doing up a Mothers' Day poster.

Kelly enjoyed pasting the petals and leaves on the paper.









After pasting, the teacher will helped the children to do some finger painting onto the poster. Kelly insisted that she does it on her own else she rather don't do it, teacher got no choice but to let her be.

Today is the 2nd day that Mummy accompanied Kelly to school. Going to school for 4hrs daily can be tiring especially Mummy does nothing but just sit and be present for Kelly. Since Mummy got nothing much to do when Kelly and her classmates were having activities, Mummy decided to do a class portfolio for Sunshine class. There are 2 toddlers class and each class has got 7 toddlers and interesting enough, there are 2 Kellys in toddlers class - Kelly Yee and Kelly Koo, and a Keryn in Kelly's class. Whenever teacher call Keryn, Kelly will reply either妹妹or可睿, initally that sent the teachers puzzled and later sent the teachers laughing.

Michelle was not present today so she was not in the portfolio. The pictures are in sequence according to the class list. The last 3 are Teacher Alina - the English teacher, 都老师 - the Mandarin teacher and Teacher Sally - Teacher helper.

Kelly is still shy during activities, when asked to sit in a circle for activities, Kelly will sit slightly behind and obvious (her usual skeptical self), getting herself comfortable with the group before joining in.

At lunch time, children are supposed to feed themselves, put back the cuteries and bowl into the allocated pails before they go for their shower and nap.

Kelly starts school again

After 1 month of no school due to HFMD, Kelly finally got to revisit school again today after the school confirmed that there was no new case for the past 2 weeks. To start the day right, we brought Kelly to her favourite McDonald for Hotcake sausage meal before going to school.

At McDonald, a gor gor approached Kelly and they 2 started playing together, after getting a balloon for them, Mummy met the gor gor's - Kaysiin's Mummy - Lorna, Daddy - James and meimei - Jiaxin. We hit it off liked old friends and got to know that Kelly and Kaysiin are born in the same month and we stayed near each other. Before we go, we exchanged mobile so that we can go out in future.

After McDonald, daddy sent us to school before going back to office. Mummy stayed with Kelly in school from 11am till after lunch before we headed home. Kelly adapted quite well but just a bit shy, will continue going with her to school for another 2 days before leaving her alone, let's hope things turn up well!
