On the road to recovery

Kelly slept from 1900 hrs all the way to 0900hrs this morning, waking up in between to whine for Mummy. Kelly has been proven to have stronger immune system as compared to other children, even when Daddy or Mummy is sick, she is totally fine, maybe because of the strong anti-bodies in the breastmilk that Kelly drank since baby.

Actually intended to stay home these 2 days so Kelly can rest and recover totally, who knows her running nose recovered when she woke up and the phlegm in her throat seems less. The only problem is Kelly does not know how to clear her throat, thus causing the throat irritation.

Seeing that she has recovered, we decided to bring her to her favourite dim sum and yam cha, but no egg tart though till she is clear her phlegm.

Kelly is sick

Kelly is exactly 25 months today and this is the first time that she is sick. Even after all her jabs since newborn, there was only 2 or 3 times where her temperature went up a little and with a dose of paracetamol, she was fine again.

This time round, she has got cough with phelgm and running nose. We do not know if its the cause of childcare, crazy weather or because she has been eating too much junks (chocolate, ice cream, biscuits and durians) recently. With the running nose, Kelly is more sticky and keep wanting to be carried and hugged by Mummy. Hope she recovers soon and be back to her normal cheeky self again.

The Know-Your-Baby Quiz

Happened to chance upon this quiz (The know your baby quiz) and took a quick one for Kerryn. To what Mummy can recalled, Kelly and Kerryn shared almost the same personality.

The Angel Baby
As you might expect, your baby is the kind of baby every first-time pregnant woman imagines herself to have: good as gold. Your baby is mellow, eternally smiling and consistently undemanding. Her cues are easy to read. She's not bothered by new surroundings, and she is extremely portable. She feeds, plays and sleeps easily and usually doesn't cry when she wakes up. An angel baby can often calm herself down, but if she gets a little overtired, perhaps because her cues were misread, all you have to do is snuggle her and tell her, "I can see that you're overtired." Then turn on a lullaby, make the room nice and dim and quiet, and she will put herself to sleep.

April 2009 Mummies gathering

After the mass March mummies gathering at Elyn's place, Mummy also organised 1 for April mummies and offered our humble home for the gathering. There is a total of 21 mummies and 19 babies as 2 mummies came without their babies. Mass group photo was impossible and thus we took small group photo instead.

Mummy + Kerryn, Veron + Caitlyne and Yvonne + Raynie...

Jacqueline + Chelsey, Mummy + Kerryn, Rose + Justin, Lifang + Jinfeng, Alicia + Asher, Pei Pei + Mikaela and Suping + Dexter!

In order to take the babies group photo, we placed all the babies on the playmat and line them up one by one, what a mess when we were trying to squeezed all of them into the playmat and make sure they do not move around.

Caitlyne and Kerryn...

Caitlyne, Kerryn and Claudia...

12 babies went onto the playmat, some not here yet, some had left and some were feeding then...

After the photo taking, most of the mummies left while some of us left behind to have a small group chat. Mummy left Kerryn sleeping tummy down on the playmat and yes, that's the first time she slept on her tummy for more than an hour!

Kerryn hates tummy time

It is believed that baby sleeps better with their tummy down as it reduces the tendency of them getting ashock in their sleep and that baby should have tummy time when they are awake so as to train their neck muscle. This was very true when Kelly was a baby, she loves to sleep on her tummy, even at night. Whenever shes awake, we will place her on her tummy and she will pushed herself up and looked around.

This is totally irrelevant with Kerryn. She hates to be on tummy. Whenever we put her on tummy, she will cry within 1 minute, thats how much she hates it.

Kerryn can turned her head from left to right at week 4...

but she just simply hates to be on tummy...

Kerryn prefers to be sitting up!

Asia Outdoor's very own Basketball team

After Daddy came home from his usual Sunday soccer session, we got to rush over to CCAB at Bukit Timah to officiate the forming of our very own Asia Outdoor’s basketball team.

On the way to CCAB, we bought curry puffs and fish balls from Old Chang Kee for our lunch. Kelly loves curry puffs and fish balls from OCK and can finished 1 whole puff by herself. After eating her fish balls, she had her curry puff but think she was too tired to even finish her puff and fell asleep without us noticing and dropped the leftover on her car seat.

The event was marked with the issuing of players’ jerseys and a friendly game with Sora. There are a total of 12 players but 1 was not around.

We look like a decent basketball team.

A group cheer before the game starts...AO!!!

some stunts that Mummy caught during the game...
Kelly was totally cooperative during the whole game. She stood by the side watching the game without disturbing. As a reward, she got a sundae from McDonald.
