Beijing Olympic 2008

8 August 2008 (8-8-08) is marked as an auspicious day for the Chinese as the number 8 symbolises prosperity and wealth. I think that is the main reason why China choose to have the Olympic opening on this remarkable date. Daddy and Mummy are truly amazed by the opening ceremony which was directed by the renowned director, Zhang Yimou. The performance is just as good and grand as those found in his movies.

The union between men...

On the night of August 8, 2008, the sound of heavy footsteps thundered across the "Bird's Nest" as colossal burning "footprints" marched in the sky along Beijing's central axis all the way through the Olympic Green to the National Stadium. As the last "footprint" lit up the sky above the National Stadium, spectators all over the world began a virtual tour of Chinese culture.

Dinner with 'A' Family

We have a dinner date with our neighbour - Aunty Ally, Uncle Andrew and Aaron didi for dinner tonight. Before dinner, we went to Royal Sporting House to get a pair of soccer socks for Daddy. Daddy wanted to get a pair of Adidas predator but to no avail so a trip to Queensway shopping centre is nearing. Kelly had so much fun running around the shop and playing with the soccer balls.

We proceeded to Swensen to meet up with the 'A' family. Aaron is now 7 months old and he has grown so much since the last time we saw him.

Right Brain - Term 1 Lesson 3

Kelly has a new classmate today, Resha. There were 4 children altogether for today's class. Mummy finds that it is too crowded for 9 persons to be in 1 small room and especially when a kid is distracting, all others will be affected.

Kelly was not in her good old self today, she was grouchy and throwing tantrum except during the songs session. She will stopped and danced to the music but once over, she wondered around the classroom again.

I think her blocked nose is making her very uncomfortable, just hope she will be better at the next class.
