Mummy now has 2 younger brothers

Uncle Kelvin opened up his own karaoke studio a year ago and since Mummy was pregnant then, we did not have a chance to visit. Today is considered a relatively important day, thus Mummy booked the studio for the night to celebrate. Mummy now has 2 younger brothers even though Quan has not kneeled down and offered tea officially yet!

Sweetie Kerryn

Kelly is now definitely at her terrible 2, she will cry for no apparent reason, asking to be carried, not doing the things when we want her to do. It really gets on our nerves but what we can say about it since this is a phase and we hope it will be over soon.

On the contrary, Kerryn is such an angel. She smile most of the time, she waves her hands and legs when she is excited, she makes the 'erk erk' sound when we pass by her room, etc. Mummy espscially loves it when Kerryn put her head down to rest after playing for a long time on her tummy.

Contented when she just flipped...

Happy to play with us...

Excited when we managed to make her laugh...

Resting her head to continue playing...

A toy that represent Kerryn's zodiac

Mummy has been searching for a cow for Kerryn since pregnant days but to no avail. Kelly was borned in the year of boar and naturally the cutest pig that came to mind was Piglet and that was easy. Mummy and a few friends were talking about finding the cutest cow for Kerryn and Laurel actually offered to give Heidi to Kerryn. Kerryn says, 'Thank you Aunty Laurel.'

The way Kerryn sleep

It is definitely common for adults to use their hand to cover their eyes while sleeping but it is undeniably cute to see a 5 months old baby doing that. Sometimes Mummy wonder if Kerryn is using her hands to cover her eyes because of the brightness or to conveniently put her arm to her mouth when she needs to suckle.

Our new toy

Roaming at Sim Lim Square 2 days ago resulted in a mini karaoke setbox and 2 cordless microphones. Before our usual steamboat dinner, Mummy pestered Daddy to setup the karaoke system for Kelly.

Kelly is now learning Jay Chou's 听妈妈的话 for her year end concert and she can sing the chorus perfectly well.

Kelly somehow knew that she got to look at the screen to sing as though she had done karaoke before.

Kerryn slept while Mummy and Kelly were singing.

How Kelly share her toys with Kerryn

Kelly always complain, 'Meimei don't want to play with me.' After complaining for a few months and no changes so far, Kelly decided to play with meimei her way. Since meimei can't take toys from Kelly, what Kelly did was to put her toys around meimei and play with her.

Kerryn loves to be on her tummy

Ever since Kerryn knows how to flip, she has been flipping non-stop and can stay longer on her tummy to play too. It is absolutely rewarding to wake up to Kerryn's smiley face and excited expression once we pass by her room. Now she can call out for attention by making the 'erk erk erk' noise.

A new milestone - Flipping

Kerryn did her first flip some weeks back but that was the one and only flip that she did, so we believed that it might be inconsistent. We were at home today as Kelly was still having slight cough and running nose so we decided to let her rest due to the haze and H1N1 spreading in the community. Kerryn knew we were all at home thus she decided to perform her flipping skill today by flipping non-stop. Everyone was kept busy helping her to flip back from tummy to back.

A Big Day

Singapore turned 44 years old today, it may be a big day but non of our business. The reason worth celebrating is the official closure of Mummy's milk factory. Since my last pump on 6/8/09, it is hard to believe that after 3 days, Mummy still can pump out 280ml of breastmilk. Mummy is praying hard not to pump ever again.

Sunday activities

Where we go on Sunday depends on where is Daddy's soccer venue. We loves it when it is at Ang Mo Kio or Seng Kang area as we can meet my friends and their babies for breakfast at McDonald. Should it be out of these areas, Mummy and Kelly will have McDonald breakfast together without fail.

Kelly insisted on sitting on the normal chair rather than high chair...

After breakfast, we will go pick Daddy up and we are usually early and this is the time for Kelly to have some good workout.

Eager to enter the field to lay her feet on the ball...

Kelly loves kicking the ball around, trying to imitate the soccer players...

After sweating out, we will proceed to NTUC to buy the ingredients for dinner and also to get some snacks for lunch.

The time before dinner is usually our bonding time with Kelly, she will snuggle onto the bed with all her soft toys, stickers, books and everything for us to play with her.

The stickers will either ended up on her arm or leg and when she is sick of them, down they go into the dustbin.

We have steamboat for dinner on almost all Sundays, will only give it a miss if there happens to be some dinner function or outing. Daddy and Mummy are persistant to keep it this way even when our 2 princesses grow up. Our son-in-laws better love steamboat, else....
