Shekinah Montessori - Term 1 Lesson 1

After 14months of being SAHK - Stay At Home Kid, Mummy decided that it is time for Kelly to start playing with kids of her age group so that she will know what sharing is. We concluded that a centre near our place will be good, that will also give us no excuse to miss class.

After scouting around, we decided on Sekinah Montessori due to the nice, clean and cozy airconditioned classroom that they have. We like the idea of sanitizing all hands before entering the classroom to keep cleanliess to the maximum. While talking to the Principal on the courses available, we found out that the Parent-Toddler course starts with 18mths old and the youngest they will accept is 16mths. After much persuasion and assessment by the Principal, Kelly is accepted!!!

We arrived 15mins earlier to complete the registeration and Teacher Liana will be with us for the whole Term. The class starts with singing and dancing for the first 30mins and the last 30mins, the kids are allowed to work with any practical or sensory kits they want from the shelf. Kelly is the most active kid in her class, she goes around waving hi, smiling, dancing till we have difficulty getting her to settle down.

McDonald Breakfast

After many days of away from home, all we want to do is to spend as much time with Kelly as possible. Mummy gave Kelly a nice, cool shower in the morning and we went to McDonald for breakfast. We call Uncle Quan and Uncle Fraddy along too.

A Day at Home

Everyone wonders what Kelly does at home the whole day...

Wakes up with a morning stretch...

Hold on to the keys so she knows when Daddy and Mummy are going out...

To distract her, Aunty Su will bring Kelly go shower...

Kelly usually takes bread, cheese, biscuits or cereal for breakfast...

After breakfast, Kelly starts playing with her flash cards...

Kelly goes to nap with her little friends before lunch...

Around evening time, Kelly will keep a lookout for Daddy and Mummy...

Fathers' Day!

Every weekend we will have headache thinking of where to bring Kelly for breakfast as now she starts eating what we eat and of course we want to find a nice place that serves good food but good things normally don't come in pair. In the end, we end up at Sin Ming Road trying out the famous Bak Kut Teh. The result is disappointing, even Kelly don't like it, she normally can eat a lot at Uncle Frankie's shop but here, she only had a few mouthful and refused to eat.

After breakfast, we head to United Square to scout for courses and materials for Kelly. No course suitable for her and we ended up at ELS buying several D-I-Y products where Kelly can start doing finger painting with non-toxic paint. Kelly ran around all the shops on her own and at some time, we have to go around looking for her, that's how active and mobile she is now.

Mummy suggested dinner out but Daddy disliked crowd, he just want to stay at home, cook his favourite pork chop, drink beer, have ice cream, chocolate and durian. Since its Fathers' Day, we agreed with no choice.

This is Kelly's second attempt on durian, she did not take on well at first but after a few tries, she seems to like it. How can Kelly don't take durian when Mummy and Daddy are huge lovers for durian!

God Mama's Wedding Day!!!

Today marks an important day for God Mama, she is finally getting married to Uncle Jeron whom Kelly will have to start calling God Papa from today onwards. Mummy is one of the Jie Meiz who is there to knock some hubby's responsibilities into Uncle Jeron from the moment he reached the doorstep. Uncle Jeron easily went through all our well planned sabotage activities coz he has a group of good brothers.

Kelly and Daddy joined us at Marina Mandarin during dinner time. This is the first wedding dinner that Kelly has attended and she seems to enjoy it. She clapped when the couple marched in and danced when the music is playing - Amazing!

Mothers' Day, Shernise and Tessa Birthday Party!

Today is a special and busy day for our family. It is my 2nd Mothers' Day but still considered the 1st official one as i was in confinement last year and Kelly is still too young to even know whats happening. Other then spending the day with Kelly, we got to attend Shernise's and Tessa's birthday party.

Shernise had her party at Toa Payoh Safra with the Minnie Mouse theme. Mummy loved the Lychee martini with double-choco tier cake and the Minnie Mouse agar-agar. Kelly kept herself entertained with the toys and balloons.

We rush over to NSRCC @ Changi to attend Tessa's party. The surrounding is great, lots of landscape, near the sea and the swimming pool is awesome. Talking about swimming pool, its been a while since we had our last dip!!! The bungalow is filled with Hello Kitty, from door deco, balloons to the double tier cake.

We were supposed to go out for a Mothers' Day feast after the 2 parties but by then, we were all too tired to even think of where to eat. Thus, we packed from our favourite Zi-Char store and settle dinner at home.
