April 2009 Mummies Luncheon

After a long long time, finally the usual meetup is back. To fit in Fengping's lunch hours, we had lunch at Bakerzin, United Square so that she can sneak out to have lunch with us. After lunch, we went Toys 'r' Us and ELC to shop, but nobody bought anything. While I went off for an appointment, the rest proceeded to Cotton On and got the little girls the same outfit to wear for our Mothers' Day party!

农历生日

There are always reasons and occasions to celebrate. After the English birthday celebrations, comes the Chinese birthday celebration. We were lucky that the girls' 农历生日are just a day apart due to the闰月.

When my Mother was alive, she never failed to prepare a delicious bowl of 面线on my birthday since as long as I can remember but as she passed away, I stopped having that 4 years ago. A promise I made to my children was, for as long as I am around, they will get a delicious bowl of面线on their农历生日.

It is an enjoyment seeing hubby and children enjoying the food I cooked. The satisfaction came from Kelly's praises when she says, 'Mummy, I like the food you cooked.' I can't wait for Kerryn to tell me the same thing.

Little Rachel is 1 month old

It's been 2 weeks since we last visited Baby Rachel and today, we came together to celebrate her turning 1 month old. Cynthia got the high tea menu instead of the lunch menu and we thought it was so much better because there were main course, cakes and kuehs too. Happy full month baby Rachel, we hope that you grow up happily and healthily each and everyday.

Peek-a-boo again!

The little friends met up at Peek-a-boo again this afternoon for a fulfilled day. At Kerryn's second visit, she was much more familiar with the place and she knew exactly what she wanted to play and which area she wanted to go.

She was hogging onto the slide till another boy came by and she walked away to the common area. Pei and I attempted to put the 2 girls on the see-saw while Enya came and climbed up to sit in between Mikaela and Kerryn, what a cute sight!


The children went on to play at the ball pit, the bouncing net, the swing before taking their afternoon milk feed. We left for Cold Storage to get some bread sticks and other snacks for the children before going home but who knows, Kerryn fell asleep in her stroller, sitting up with her head on the stroller bar, what a tiring day!

Happy Birthday Ivy!

Our April gathering was all about Ivy because it's her birthday! I arrived earlier to get a cake and also to pass it to the staff at Soup Restaurant so that the cake was a surprise after dinner. Xintian did not joined us this time because her pregnancy nauseous does not permit her to come, what a poor thing!

This should the last birthday party that we are attending in April, not considering Kelly's and Daddy's birthday. Kelly fell in love with the Pooh airwalker the moment she saw it behind the door and the moment she rescued it from behind the door, she knew that the Pooh was hers and she did went home with the Pooh.

Happy 1st Birthday Jinfeng!

Just after visiting peek-a-boo yesterday, we were at Fidgets today to celebrate Jinfeng turning 1 today. We arrived just in time for cake cutting and photo taking before Kelly and Kerryn went off to the playground for some fun.

Today was a rare occasion, all the mummies came with their little ones! It has been a long time since we met up with the mummies for lunch and gatherings due to my packed schedules. It is definitely nice to meet up and chit chat. We had lunch first before heading off to Peek-a-boo for the little ones to have some fun time!

After lunch, we headed to Peek-a-boo for the little ones to run around and use up their energy. This place is definitely cleaner and cosier than Fidgets and beofre we went home, we stopped by for a cup of yummy yogurt to round up the day.

Kelly change hairstyle

After keeping her long hair for Chinese New Year, it is about time we turn beauty back to cutey. Kelly has no problem with Mummy cutting her hair since she was a baby. She will sit patiently to wait for her hair to be cut but playing with the comb and scissor occasionally.

Arrival of Baby Rachel

It's almost 2 weeks since baby Rachel arrived and we reckoned that Cynthia should had enough rest and thus we made a visit this afternoon. We made the trip on Saturday to make sure that Ryan was at home. Baby Rachel was beautifully asleep when we reachedand she opened her little eyes with deep double eyelids to look at us for a moment before heading back to lalaland again.

Kerryn fell asleep the moment we stepped out of the car and as usual, she napped on the sofa till when we were about to leave, she woke up to wave 'bye, bye'.
