Kerryn's full month presents

We thank our dear friends for the gifts, Ang baos and the pleasant company once again. After the luncheon yesterday that ended at dinner time, we finally found time today to take pictures of Kerryn with all her gifts.

Full month celebration

We celebrated Kerryn's full month with a group of close friends at our humble home this afternoon. Being experienced with Kelly's full month party 2 years ago, we were better in scheduling our friends for the lunch so that we can have more interaction with each and every one. On the whole, the luncheon went on very well just that we did not take enough photos.

Just like Kelly, Kerryn slept through the whole luncheon and did not woke up till 5pm, only Kenneth and Joey, Jiayan and Jhuming got to see her awake.

Out of the many guests, we were glad to have Mrs Jennifer Loh, Mummy's secondary school teacher visiting us. It's been 2 years since we last met though we kept in contact via phone all the while.

Along with the above came the gang from Asia Outdoor, Mike, Rachel with Jimmy and bb Richmond, Russell with Elynn and Ethan, and many others. Thank you pals for the wonderful company!

Kelly loves to help

Kelly at age of 2 has did a great job as a jiejie. She is eager to help most of the time, few examples are:
1. when meimei cry, Kelly will rush into the room and take a look at her, check if she has pee and shout for us.
2. after Mummy has bottled the breastmilk, Kelly will bring the milk into the room and place it beside meimei.
3. if meimei cry when we are having our meals, Kelly will tell meimei, 'wait wait, Mummy/Daddy is eating'.

It is really heartwarming to see that Kelly loves Kerryn so much.

Kelly turns 2!!!

No fanciful party for Kelly this year as Mummy is still doing confinement during her birthday. Our original plan was to let Kelly celebrate her birthday with her friends in school, but due to HFMD, Kelly only started school in May thus no party for her.

Ultimately, we did a mini celebration for Kelly with Quan and Yuntong who share the same birthday - 22 April, and a group of friends at home.

We started with a round of mahjong before dinner. It was great to have a mahjong session during confinement.

Kelly eventually picked Barney. Although this Barney looks way different from the Barney that Mummy posted earlier, but glad that Kelly still recognises it. Thank you Daniel for the yummy-licious cake!

Kelly can't stop saying, 'Barney cake' and it is surprising that Kelly started singing 'Happy Birthday' song since about 2 weeks ago without us telling her that her birthday is coming, is that kids instinct?

More breastmilk...

Since home after delivery, Mummy has been pumping diligently to provide breastmilk for Kerryn. For Kelly, Mummy pumped for 6 months and the breastmilk was sufficient to last Kelly till 1 year old. Mummy intend to do the same for Kerryn.

Breast milk...

Kerryn is 2 weeks old. Looking at her grow everyday is really a pleasure. Her physic is totally different from Kelly's. Kerryn is small size with skinny hands and legs just liked Mummy. After 2 weeks of total breast milk, we can practically see her grow. She is definitely more hugable now.

After 48hrs, if the breast milk is not consumed, got to transfer to freezer so that can keep for up to 3 months.

Barney or Piglet???

Kelly's 2 years old birthday is about a week away. Mummy had wanted to let her celebrate her birthday in school this year but due to HFMD, Mummy had decided to only let her start school in May. Thus, birthday this year will be at home with 2 special friends that share the same birthday and some other fun loving friends.

It is a headache deciding over what cake to get as Barney and Piglet are both her favourite cartoon characters. In this situation, we went the diplomatic way, let Kelly decides for herself what she wants.

Kerryn's 1st manicure

Baby Kerryn is such an angel when shes asleep. She looks so dainty.

While Kerryn was sleeping, Mummy did her first manicure. Her nails were incredibly long, she has such long and slim fingers.

Just when Mummy finished trimming, Kerryn woke up from her beauty sleep. She was extremely happy, maybe because she was unwrapped and can moved her hands and legs freely.

Kerryn's umbilical cord

The oxygen tube that linked Mummy to baby Kerryn for the past 37 weeks has finally fallen off. It is a tradition for parent to keep the umbilical cord in a red packet and safe keep it but Mummy finds that unhygenic and decided to just throw it away.

Family bonding time

Kerryn is 5 days old today but the way she interact with us is as if she is much older. She shows lots of expression and her milk intake is definitely not a 5 days old volume.

At evening time, we will usually bring Kerryn into our room if she is awake to talk and play with her. It is also a family bonding time.

Mummy and Kerryn...

Kelly has so far shown no sign of jealousy. She helps with bringing milk to meimei, watching meimei shower, always going into meimei's room to see meimei, etc. We are happy and satisfied with her behaviour so far. Good job Kelly!
