Lunar Day 3

Early in the morning we are at the Singapore Zoo, along with us are Uncle Bernard, Auntie Serene and Shernice. It is Kellys and Shernice first trip to the Zoo. We thought we might have the zoo to ourselves but we are wrong, the wrong place is filled with lion dances, tourists, families and lots of people. Despite all, the trip is fun and tiring.

Lunar Day 2

On Lunar Day 2, we went to Kwan Yin temple to pray pray and walk walk. The crowd is scary, we almost can't make our way in especially with Kelly but in the end, we still managed to make our way in for donation and flower offering. We pray that Kelly will grow up healthy and stay happy forever.

Lunar Day 1

Kelly woke up early in the morning as if she knew it is Lunar Day 1, she got her 1st Ang Bao from Mummy and Daddy before we head off to Malaysia for visits. Our first stop is my Grandma place, which is Kellys Great-Grandma in Air Hitam, it felt so good to be here on CNY coz fire crackers are lighting everywhere and gambling sound is everywhere. The only different is my mum is not around. After 2 rounds of steamboat, we headed to pray my mum, it is also the first time Kelly meet her Grandmother. Our last stop is of course my Dads place. We stay there for a long while and came back after dinner. Kelly is sooooo tired.

Lunar New Year Eve = Mummy birthday

Today is Lunar New Year eve and also mummy bday. It felt so nice to receive not a kiss but 2 kisses early in the morning. Early in the morning, we left home for Chinatown. We had dim sum at one of the coffeeshop as there wasn't much option. After breakfast, we walk through the busy streets and as usual, i bought lots of Taiwan jelly, peanuts, candies, etc. After we are done with Chinatown, we proceed to Punggol Plaza, NTUC and wet market to get the ingredients for Daddy wanna cook a big feast for all of us. We had black pepper crab, steam fish, drunken prawn, vegetables, etc and of course my favoruite Cordon Blue for our 1st reunion dinner with our precious princess, Kelly. Having a little one around is indeed different, although Kelly can only eat her porridge but the smell is enough to make her food delicious.

9 month surprise...Fever

Few days away from reaching 9 month, Kelly had fever for the first time. The higest temperture hit 39.63degree, it nearly broke my heart. A visit to the Doc. confirm that its virus infection, doc. say that the temperture will be going up and down and its no surprise that it might even hit 40 or 41 degree. We were really worried sick. Luckily after a day of tender loving care and parcetamol, the fever is gone. The doc. said that once the fever is gone, rashes will appear and it is a sign that Kelly is recovering, true enough, rashes are all over her head and body now. We want our cheerful and active Kelly!!!

X'mas Party, Winter Solstice Festival, Kellys 8th month

Today is an important day, Kelly is 8 months old, Kellys first X'mas, first Dongzhi (The Winter Solstice Festival or The Extreme of Winter (冬至) is one of the most important festivals celebrated by the Chinese and other East Asians. Traditionally, the Dongzhi Festival is also a time for the family to get together. One activity that occurs during these get togethers is the making and eating of Tangyuan (湯圓) or balls of glutinous rice, which symbolize reunion). We had some of the Uncles, Aunties and babies over for a small x'mas gathering. We prepared great food, log cake, gifts for all babies and tangyuan too. Thank you all aunties and uncles for your x'mas prezzies, kelly loves them.

1st tooth...or 1st 4 teeth

Kelly drink and eat lesser than her normal and she drool more. I thought it must be her 1st tooth coming out. Few days later, we see not only 1, not 2, not 3 but 4 teeth at the same time. It's amazing, coz i had always been telling Kelly to erupt her tooth only when shes 8 months old so that the 2 teeth can grow out together and the chance or having big gap between teeth will be lower. What a nice X'mas surprise.
